Burna Boy – Big 7 Lyrics

African Giant– Burna Boy returns with a new track title “Big 7”, the song Lyrics pays tribute to Virgil Abloh.

BIG 7 LYRICS (written by Burna Boy).

Big seven, Big seven
Big seven, Big seven

Verse 1
First of all, rest in peace Virgil Abloh
Don’t spill no drink on my clothes when I’m Louis V drippin’
Don’t like stress in my zone, man
Straight to the head when I’m 1942 sippin’

Been wavy since Berlin
No dey talk to me in public
Mix my drink with a likkle Molly
Smoke my weed to this claro, oh

Lamborghini driver, ‘Rarri 458 Italia
I really, really spent a milli’ on just two Richard Milles
And I wear ’em willy-nilly through the city, ayy

Chorus
Wavy since London
Wavy since Berlin
So no dey talk to me in public
I’m in a different place
If you see me tonight, you can clearly see that I’ve been wavy since mornin’

Verse 2
Alright, R.I.P. to Sidhu
Put your hands up, reach for the roof if you know you fuck with me
Don’t like squares in my crew, if I call you my brother, then you best believe you’re stuck with me
Been wavy since Berlin
I no go fit take you from nothin’, so I beg you nuh disturb me
I no dey carry overload
Ghetto gospel preacher
Two times community service preacher
Right now I’m chillin’, but my niggas gettin’ busy in the city spinnin’, spinnin’ ’til for the Lizzie

Chorus
Wavy since London
Wavy since Berlin
So no dey talk to me in public
No dey talk to me in public
Wavy since Sweden
Wavy since Paris
So no dey talk to me in public
I’m in a different place
If you see me tonight, you can clearly see that I’ve been wavy since mornin’

Big seven
Big seven, Big seven
Big seven
Big seven
Big seven, Big seven

Big 7 by Burna Boy Lyrics Explained

Prior to the release of his seventh studio album, I Told Them, BURNA BOY released a new song, “Big 7.” The LP was later released on August 24 via Spaceship, Bad Habit, and Atlantic Record. We must concur that this album is sure to introduce Burna Boy’s vast sounds – “Afro-Fusion” – and lofty hymns to an even broader global audience. Plus, the African Giant admits the project is an urgent, heartfelt, and immensely personal snapshot of his struggles, triumphs, and aspirations as he says “I TOLD THEM”.

Burna Boy became the first Nigerian musician to perform as the stadium’s headlining act only last month when he performed at Citi Field in New York. The Afrobeats performer teased some brand-new music during that particular performance in the shape of the tune “Big 7,” the studio version of which is now available. “Big 7” went on to be included on the brand-new Burna Boy album – I Told Them, his seventh studio album – released in August.

Notably, Burna Boy said in a statement that “”˜Big 7` is a melodic tribute to embracing new heights in my musical journey.” – “The title represents a symbolic aspiration to reach greater horizons, with the number seven embodying an attainable and harmonious growth.”

Remarkably the music video for “Big 7” was also released, and it was directed by Benny Boom. RZA, Busta Rhymes, Junior Mafia, and actor Shameik Moore all make cameos in the New York City-shot video. The singer’s previous song, “Sittin’ On Top Of The World,” with 21 Savage, was followed by “Big 7”. Additionally, the Nigerian superstar also recently collaborated with Saint Kitts-based musician Byron Messia on “Talibans II,” a fresh take on Messia’s breakthrough single “Talibans”.

It’s significant to note that “Big 7″‘s perfect recording is indicative of his rich Afro-influenced sound, which permeates most of the songs on the “I Told Them” album. The tune – the eighth track on the 15-track “I Told Them” album – is a standout performance and arguably one of the best-executed songs in the contemporary era. Burna Boy’s distinctive musical style, which is excellent, can be heard in the song. The album, which is already sounding like a classic, contains the artist’s best tracks, and “Big 7” is no exception.
