‘ I did not gain admission through UTME ‘- LASU Best Graduating Student, Aminat Yusuf discloses
Miss Aminat Yusuf, the best graduating student of Lagos State University (LASU) for the 2021/2022 academic session has revealed that she did not gain admission into the institution through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
She disclosed this during a ceremony held at the Muslim Students Association of Nigeria (MSSN), Alimosho Area Council while speaking about her journey in the institution.
She said: ‘ I did Diploma in law, I finished with 4.98 over 5.0 in diploma. So, I did not gain admission through JAMB UTME, I did Direct Entry. LASU taught me that your foundation is very important. I must say that when you have the opportunity to be in a good school, you are lucky ‘.
