Mason Mount is not the Game-Changer Manchester United Needs
Mason Mount

I have seen the news flying around for the past few weeks, and the most annoying was the latest from Telegraph yesterday. If you ask me personally, I think it is wrong, odd, and absolutely a no-brainer for a club like Manchester United to jump on the bus with underperforming midfielders like Mason Mount, especially when United just had a successful season and a vision to build for the future. And goodness, this is a club still without clarity over who will be at the helm of management come summer.

Do I feel Mason is good? Quite a bit. I mean, we have seen him rack up a few goals in his successive season at Chelsea. Creativity-wise, he is never the kind of midfielder you feel will blow up the box or be missed when not available in the team.

Quite frankly, you will agree with me that Chelsea is more vulnerable in the middle of the pack when Kovacic and Kante are not available than Mount. That should raise a few eyebrows.

We have seen Kelvin De Bruyne, Bruno Fernandes, and Odegaard do it all season, consistently for about 2-3 years. You look at Mason, and he's nowhere near, not even close to the top 6-7 creative midfielders in the league.

There is this little confusion he has about his game, the idea to drift into the wing instead of the normal attacking midfielder role. He has a lot to learn and more to improve about being a playmaker.
