Chapter 2

2 years later my baby brother was brought home and I was the one taking care of him during the day,since . While dad tried to bounce back in his business, Life without mom wasn't easy for us. She kept the family together in love and handled the home with warmth and gentleness. 

I miss her and I know Dad misses her too,most times I will wake up In the middle of the night to Dad's cries.

He was falling apart and I couldn't help him,I didn't know how to. What can a child do and besides I didn't fully understand the impact of mom's absence then.

In a child's innocence I kept believing mom will come back since Dad said she traveled very far.

My baby brother was growing into a healthy child.The resemblance to my mom can be seen when you look at him, especially his round greenish eyes and button nose, while I on the other hand took after my Dad with sixty percent of mom.

He is a handsome man and very tall. He has blue eyes , a straight nose and jet black hair. 

 We have always been a happy family,but that all changed when my dad's family started asking him to get married again.

One fateful day he called me and told me the truth why i couldn't see my mom again

"Mira , i want you to listen to me.."

' Okay dad.

" You're a big girl now and I'm sure you understand,Mira.. "Your mom…

' Dad,what is it? What about mom?

" oh Mira my baby.." My dad hugged me,he looked sad.

" Mira we can't see your mom because he has gone to meet God in heaven.."

" Dad,what are you saying?

I was confused. I didn't know what that meant but I couldn't accept his explanation.He said mom traveled far away then what is he saying ..

' DAD NO! Stop it,I ran into my room and shut the door.. Tears began to flow.
