There is quite a difference between loving someone and liking them. Sometimes I think we are more about someone loving us than we forget the importance of being appreciated. Being loved feels good, but being valued is much better. A man that wants you will do anything he can just to maintain it, but a man that values you, will do everything he can to make sure your life is better because he believes he's in it (your life).

This article explains how to tell if someone cares about you. It's not always easy to understand if someone appreciates us. Sometimes people send mixed signals and this often confuses you. One day you feel important to them, and the next day a lot of questions will be running through your mind. 1. He always wants to keep you around. but he's also willing to compromise.

If he considers you an important part of his life, he will always appreciate the moments he shares with you. In clearer terms, if you are important to him and he appreciates you, he will want to spend time with you, and more importantly, he will as well respect your time. So, if you have to meet one day and for some reason, he can't see you, not only will he apologize, but he will let you know right away when he is less busy to meet you.

2. Your presence means nothing or little to them.

If you want to understand how you can tell if he values you, this is the most important sign.

If he consistently checks his phone when you're with him and doesn't even pay attention to what you're saying, there's a high chance that he doesn't value your time with him. At that moment, he values more what's on his device than the conversation he could have with you. Of course, if your partner does this from time to time, it doesn't mean he or she is being disrespectful to you. It's perfectly normal to check your phone from time to time. However, someone who doesn't seem interested in you will repeat this behavior over and over again, showing that he or she doesn't appreciate you and your time with them.

3. He's not willing to do much for you.

A man that values you will often do small things to buy you. He will always want you to be happy and make your life easier, so they recognize patterns. However, someone who doesn't appreciate you or just wants you may do something good for you, but it's only a one-time effort. And the reason for that little random effort is usually because they need something from you.

The bottom line here is when he appreciates and values you, you just feel it. A man who truly appreciates you will make you feel good and emotionally safe with them. Like everyone else, he will have bad days from time to time, but over the long run, you will see a pattern. You will see that he is always there for you.
