NYSC , Allawee no be SCAM!!
Life during service is very challenging, exciting, sometimes it's even frustrating, a lot plans are before you go for service (lols) ,but once you enter and the environment+sapa hits you hard ,we tend to forget all the plans , amidst all these experience, there's an important factor every youth needs to consider, which is SAVING (allawee+side hustles).
Allawee , Allowance or salary as we Nigerian youth corps call it ,has gone a long way to help and develop an average Nigerian y
outh , but due to the economy situation of the country ,Nysc don become (Blood money) in the eyes of many . why,?
Once you here clink clink ,hell yeah???????????? you no say allawee don show ,but due to high rise in EVERYTHING in this country ,the moment you turn to look at the your account again,you realize that (OTILO)!!! It's far gone!!????????????????.is it your fault?NO,it's the condition that makes crayfish bend????????, But, you can do better ,we have seen a lot of youth corpers who made it big after youth service,they didn't just chill, and relaxed ,every little cent matterd to them.
In other words , prioritize your needs first ,ignore your wants ,and save .no matter how it it may be ,just try and save cuz ,youth service is injury time o!! You get a lot of opportunities to learn new skills ,do a lot of side hustles e.t.c .so why will you pass out and you will have 0.00000# ahaa ????????????kilode ,you need to be spanked ????????.In essence, when you save during NYSc, you will have something to fall back on , which cam carry you for 2,months or more depending on how much you have.
How then can you save?
Every month 33k is being paid to your account ,draw out a budget, write out your primary needs ,I repeat primary needs avoid mede medes????????, like buying anything everyone advertises to you ,Or else Sapa is just by the corner.Here are some primary needs you need to prioritize
*Tithes
*Foodstuffs(not junks)
*Cylinder refill
*Toiletries
*T fares
*And other important factors you can do without
Things you need to avoid in other to safe.
*Avoid junks
*Avoid too much internet surfing (it's addictive) .
Don't buy everything all the time(shoes ,bags etc) .
*Don't spend above your means
Moreover here's a little way you can safe no matter the situation in that place your serving ,Open a savings account , you don't need to have a stipulated amount to save ????????any amount is reasonable , anytime you feel like going out to buy unecessary stuff, just transfer half of the amount you want to use to purchase that stuff into your savings account, then the rest of the half won't have a choice than to go back also, into the savings account ???????? there are a lot more ways to save ,if you find this this article interesting,sit back and relax more is coming your way ????????????????????
